Anybody who filed after 06/04/2007, got receipt#
I am just trying to see if NSC could go past the I-485 received on 06/01/2007. Many folks whose application was received the first day got receipt and receipt#. Is there anyone who applied later and got the receipt or receipt#.
we ( 5+6 dependents) applied on 5/31. Reached NSC on 6/1 but not yet received our notices.Hoping we will get them this week.

My employer is also behaving exactly similar way... Spend the money from your own Pocket ( 350 med + 385 ) around $750 and ask them to just
give the Future Employment Verification Letter for 485.
I'm finishing up all forms and other activities Like Medical , Birth Certificate etc..
After that pounce on your employer for Letter + the fees for 485 + fees for your own attorney fees ... If they disagrees come to a deal with just for the Letter... You are all set then !!
If they still dont agree i'll tell them that you are resigning and immigrating to Canada (Tell them that your Canadian PR is almost approved and you have a distant relative there)

And worst is the lottery...What pisses me off is that there are 220,000 visa numbers every year for family based GCs while skilled immigrants get only 140,000. Nothing wrong with immigrants wanting to bring immediate family members but this is causing nothing but chain migration. I think USA give more GCs to cab drivers than skilled immigrants.

No approvals today? Whats going on???
There were a couple of approvals today from TSC by looking at the other site.But slowed down a lot. Maybe USCIS is taking a break this last week and preparing for the next month:)

I just called national customer service center for my 485 receipts and the lady told that nebraska filers should still wait for 30 more days before they call for receipt updates...she said she was answering the same question since this morning and mentioned that it could still take atleast 30 days for nebraska center to register the applications...
when I asked her if she knew whether my case has been transferred to TSC already (since my 140 got approved from TSC), she said she wouldn't know that answer...her bottom line was to wait...
what a mess!!!!!

I am sitting here in front of my laptop for 10 minutes, still I don't know what to say.
I am really sorry to hear your condition. I am not sure of any clause for a situation like this or may be there is.
I am neither a God to show you a way nor your friend to be next to you and help you hold your spirit high. All I got is a heart to show and give you an unconditional love and support.
I still cannot breathe after reading this. I juste prayed to God for you. Don't loose your hope. I am sure you are trying or tried all types of cures. I have deep faith in Pranayam/Yoga. I am not sure if you have heard about SWAMI RAMDEV JI. He teaches pranayam and here's link to his forum http://forums.curesearch.org/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=631 . Try to meet him if possible. You are quite mistaken if you think I am going to delete your post just because I disagree with you. One of the things that I love most about this country is the Bill of Rights and the First Amendment that protects free speech. I like the idea the everyone can voice their opinions as long as there are no physical threats or intimidation.
That being said, we run the risk of having a thread venting frustrations against illegals degenerate into an anti-Mexican thread. We have had a lot of publicity, and many reporters etc read our forum to get an idea of what we are about. They can very easily read one frustrated post from an otherwise reasonable member out of context and decide that we are a xenophobic group. I edited one comment from Santosh's post; and deleted a post of Bkam's. Bkam's post, frankly, was offensive.
As a side note, I have quite the same frustrations against the "perceived" better treatment that illegals get. If you look at our "Parity" memo where we found that undocumented workers can self-petition for green cards and we can't, I co-wrote it. But let us focus on the positives that we bring and move on.

Additionally EB3 ROW will also suffer because the overflow will be allocated to EB2 first. You will see more and more countries getting retrogressed in EB3. It is not a case of being envious about EB2's, it is simply the fact that EB3's as a whole are screwed very bad and EB3 I in particular will never be current.
(On paper) This visa bulletin looks like an attempt to sow discontent among the nascent EB organizations (IV in particular) and it seems to have succeeded. EB 3 have dropped off from state chapters(I have). It exposed the worst from all the groups. 2007 VB fiasco helped many, but it also created many issues for DOL and USCIS that its payback time for us, they will go through each rule with a fine tooth comb and make sure that this will never happen again. it is my opinion that in the end we lost big time.
Sorry to read blaming debates between eb3 and eb2. Insted of blaming, it is better to take some action. Based on current practice by DOS, EB3-I will be like this for ever, unless more number opens up by any legislative changes. As per law, each EB catagories are allowed to have 40K visas. As demand for EB2 is more, (paricularly by In,Ch) one can not expect any flow from EB2 to EB3 . This is law one can not change it.
Now I am coming to important point to take some action by EB3-I. The law says, 7% country quota will be applied in each prefrence catagory if worldwide demand for visas is more than supply in that catagory. But the law does not set any time frame. Therefore, the real threat for EB3-I is EB3-ROW. As per current practice, untill EB3-ROW become "current" EB3-I will get only 3000 visas per year. What happen if EB3-ROW never become "current" for next 50 years? EB3-I will be stuck in 2001 or 2002 for ever. To add my point, let us imagine a hypothetical case. Lets say in 2010 about 1 million ROW guys neend EB3 visa number. All has PD 2010. EB3-In will be stuck in 2001 till one million EB-ROW with PD 2010 recives GC. In nut shell, a EB3-ROW with latest PD will be given more preference than EB3-In with PD 2001. As current practice does not set any time limit, new flow of applications keeps retrogressed countries stuck for ever. This point has to be conveyed to DOS and USCIS to change the practice. Applications receviced in one fiscal year has to be cleared (grant GC) to process the application from next year. This way new applications from ROW will not stuck the retrogreesd countries for ever.

A question about CIR. Currently isin't it more beneficial for anti-immigrants to just ensure that absolutely NOTHING is done to CIR? That way the Senate version of CIR never sees the light of day, but since it doesnt die either, no other legislation can come into place.
I guess my question is, how & when exactly does CIR "die"/get phased out of the picture so that other legislations may be considered?

Hi guys,
My first H1B (2003) had LUD on 14th of July...and today there is a LUD on I-140. My I-140 approved in March 2007..PD is March 2005...Is it good indication that they are doing something with my I-485 case? My application reached NSC on july 2nd (not sure about time as my lawyer sent those papers). My I-140 is from TSC.
Today i added my old H1B (2003) case to my portfolio..i saw LUD on it...LUD date is '14th july 2007'...not sure...14th july is saturday...but no surprise...i saw lot of people posted that their LUD was on weekends....Is it good indication? sorry if i am asking unnecessary question..

My attorney received my receipts as well as my wife's receipts...they sent me scanned receipts....PD Mar 2005...hand delivered to NSC on july 2nd...Received EAD 10 days ago...I-140 is from TSC...had a LUD on 5th august.....Receipts starts from SRC...it got transferred to TSC from NSC.. Received Date is July 2nd...Notice Date is August 14...

3 out of 6 of my checks got cleared from NSC. My application reached NSC on JUN 1st.
