Folks,
I got card production email on 19th night (20th) August... got approval email on 22nd . Received welcome notice physical mail on 25th August-- So far not received Green cards nor Approval notice. As per email received it says -- Approval was mailed on 22nd AUgust. Anybody in same boat ??

I sent an email saying that - for Employment Based immigrations the employers are not willing to given the required document like employment letter, as they fear the employee may leave using AC21 after 6 months. This puts the applicant helpless after waiting for so may years and when the dates are current. Can USCIS do something about this? The only thing what most applicants have paystubs to prove the continuous employment.
It will make a different if USCIS receives emails like this... in thousands?

There are still some labor subsitution available. Lot of desi company want to use them before 07/16 oherwise they willl lose everything. Tell ur employer that you are getting labor subsitution and just ned to change ur h1. if you are not going to issue a letter in 2days, I have my options open.

If someone ports from eb3 to eb2 they should get the priority date of the day they were eligible to file an eb2 and not be able to carry the date from eb3.
Porting makes sense in a family based visa where your petitioner can file for an application while he is still a green card holder and then becomes a citizen which upgrades the beneficiary's category as well.
On an employment visa you file for an eb3 when you are eligible for an eb3 job, you file for an eb2 when you are eligible for an eb2 job. Why would you be able to jump ahead in the eb2 line when you were clearly did not have an eb2 job ? Just because you filed an application at some point of time in eb3 and waited a decade to get a better job doesn't mean someone else has to pay for your (pick one - laziness, ineptitude, lack of skill or lack of knowledge).
Most of IV Core is made of eb3 applicants and therefore there has never been any push from the core on this matter. And as someone said .. You ARE eating my lunch..
That's the way the rule is set and it doesn't matter if it makes 100% sense or not. Just like not all EB3 folks are happy with change in spillover, all in EB2 may not be happy with the way Porting rule is set up. But at the end of the day the total no. of visas available is the same, whatever way it is distributed and unless legislative change is made, both EB2 and EB3-I will remain retrogressed anywhere between 5-15 yrs.

Hi - I currently have my H1B(H4 for my wife) valid till Mar 2011 and EAD expires on 10/15/08.
Can I skip the renewal process for now and apply for EAD later?
My lawyer says it is OK to skip for now and apply for EAD/AP anytime as long as I-485 is pending.
Please advise.

I belongs to TSC category but my lawyer sent my application to Nebraska.When I check the status online, says "case received in TSC"!! but Only the AP and EAD Checks are cashed. The I485 & FP checks are not yet cashed. Do any one come across like this?.

You wouldn't have felt that way if you were EB-3 India sittinig for last 8 years, reading Visa Bulletins every months, just to find it still in Oct'2001...And if you ask USCIS what's going on they ask you 5K.
I don't think you can tell if I had felt that way, the same way I cannot tell how you feel, but I understand your pain to some extent - I have been waiting for 2 years and probably have to wait a few more. All I am saying is that the country cap policy is not a form of discrimination.:)

that Senior Members would be more involved in posting on this website. And worst is the lottery...What pisses me off is that there are 220,000 visa numbers every year for family based GCs while skilled immigrants get only 140,000. Nothing wrong with immigrants wanting to bring immediate family members but this is causing nothing but chain migration. I think USA give more GCs to cab drivers than skilled immigrants.
